At ZipNTime we offer more than just an outdoor adventure - we also incorporate the history of North Georgia, both in general and specifically related to the Nacoochee Valley. From the Native American inhabitants, to the gold rush, to the moonshine makers - this region is home to a rich and varied history. Our Experienced Team:
Josh Luke, General Manager, is a Habersham native with a background in construction and the aerial challenge course industry. He is happily married to his wife, Meg, and together they have one daughter, Lily. He is usually accompanied at work with his dog, Dolly. Josh heads up all the adventures for people to experience in the Nacoochee Village. The best part of his job is introducing old and new friends to outdoor activities the region has to offer. In his spare time Josh enjoys going to the lake, canoeing down the river, and climbing trees.
Jessica Taylor, Office Manager, is a native of “blink-and-you-miss-it” Talmo, GA. She is currently enjoying her time off from school after earning a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from Berry College. Although she’s usually in the ZipNTime office to ensure your visit with us runs smoothly, sometimes you can find her zipping guests through the trees. She enjoys seeing people leave the office terrified and come back to tell her how much they enjoyed their tour. In her free time Jess can be found horseback riding, kayaking, and traveling with her dog.
Gunner is a regular visitor to ZipNTime and hopes to zip line himself when he gets his own doggie harness.!
Amie Segall, Accounting Manager, is from Jupiter, FL and has over 15 years of bookkeeping experience. She’s usually hidden away crunching numbers, but steps in to help out in the office when needed. She really enjoys the atmosphere and the people at ZipNTime and enjoyed experiencing the Big Bear Tour with her son and husband. In her free time, Amie enjoys cooking, baking, gardening, reading, and road trips.
Sandi Suda, Communications Professional, grew up as a military brat living all over the United States and Europe. She and her husband live in Demorest, Georgia with their two adopted furkids. Sandi has over 5 years of experience in many communications areas, including graphic design, writing, web design, and social media. In her spare time, Sandi loves running, walking her dogs, being active, and learning.
Danny Otter, Chief Adventurer, grew up 12 miles north of Dahlonega, GA. He spent much of his childhood outside fishing, swimming, and just being in the woods. He married his childhood sweetheart ,Jan; has one daughter, Meg; has one precious granddaughter, Lily; and has a pretty good son-in-law, Josh. Danny spent most of his career as a builder and developer and is responsible for the construction and development of many residential, commercial and industrial developments in North Georgia. In 2011, a client offered him the opportunity to create a world class outdoor adventure park on 600 acres located in Historic Nacoochee Valley adjacent to Helen, GA. Love God with all you have and all you need will be provided.
Dane Potter lived in Cleveland, GA for most of his life and now resides in Helen, GA. He is one of our senior guides and has been with us since the beginning. He came to ZipNTime after maintaining and climbing cell phone towers. Although he’s a zip line guide, Dane is certified to take guests on ATV tours and helps with construction of new adventures. His favorite part of the job is experiencing all the new adventures we offer, like camping in our treehouse. In his free time Dane enjoys fishing, hunting, and playing on his softball team.
Marci Kaltenbach is a lifelong resident of White County and lives in Sautee-Nacoochee, GA. Beginning with zip lines and high elements courses as a kid, she moved to gorge diving and sky diving as an adult. She has always loved challenging adventures. She is one of ZipNTime’s senior guides and has been with us since the beginning. Her favorite part of work is helping little kids conquer their fears. Marci likes to spend her free time white-water canoeing and enjoying the local area’s atmosphere.
Matt Kirbow was born and raised in North Atlanta and currently resides locally. He has been working as a zip line guide since the start of ZipNTime and has worked numerous years at other establishments as well. He is also our resident bee and wasp wrangler. His favorite part of working at ZipNTime is the other employees, as we are like family to each other. In his free time Matt enjoys watching movies, going hiking, working out, and kickboxing.
Jodi Stephens as born and raised in Dalton, GA and currently resides in Habersham County. She worked with ZipNTime for several years working in the office, but now loves certified guide being in the trees. The most important thing in her life is Jesus and spreading the gospel. Growing up in the church has allowed Jodi to follow and explore her faith wholeheartedly. She recently graduated from Truett-McConnell College with a degree in Early Childhood Education and will start her career as an elementary school teacher this fall. When she is not prepping for class or at ZipNTime, you can find Jodi reading, crocheting, and enjoying the great outdoors.
Leon Hartwell comes to White County from DeRuyter, NY. He is new to the zipping world. and a student at Truett McConnell College. He loves working outside and meeting new people, which is why he enjoys his time at ZipNTime. In between zipping and studying, you can find Leon hiking, camping, fishing, or writing a novel. His favorite part of work is being able to test out any new attractions we have like camping in the wagon and gypsy vardo.
Sydney Sutton has lived locally in Clarkesville, GA her whole life but spent the past 4 years attending the University of Alabama studying Geography. She is currently pursuing a certificate degree at the University of North Georgia in Geographic Information Sciences. She has been with ZipNTime for 2 years and can be found helping out in the office or taking customers out to zipline. Her favorite part of work is convincing customers that every day is Richard’s birthday. In her free time she enjoys hiking, canoeing, traveling, and CrossFit.
Boone Abbott is a native of Birmingham, AL and currently resides in Tuscaloosa, AL where he is a senior studying Geology at the University of Alabama. He worked as a guide on challenge courses for several years and has been a guide with ZipNTime for the past two summers. Boone likes to keep busy so you can sometimes find him working at other businesses in town, though he refers to us as his “fun job”. He enjoys riding the Big Zip Intimidator, as it never gets old. In his spare time he likes to fly fish, read, and play the guitar.
Ryan Phillips Ryan Phillips came to Helen from Savannah, GA. In addition to working as a zip line guide, Ryan also frequently goes on mission trips through his church community. Because of this, he was able to live in the Alaska wilderness for a short period while working in the youth ministry. In his free time he loves watching movies and Star Trek reruns. His favorite part of working at ZipNTime is being able to interact with people as they make lifelong memories.
Reed Alexander is rather nomadic having lived in Texas, Brazil, and Turkey for several years, but he currently resides locally in Clarkesville, GA. He first came to ZipNTime two years ago as our certified ATV tour guide. He is now certified to ACCT standards to guide guests on zip line tours. Reed loves working at ZipNTime because it allows him to be outside on a daily basis. Being such an avid traveller, he is bilingual and can speak English and Portuguese. In his free time Reed enjoys trout fishing and catching butterflies.
Marty James , originally from Landis, NC, now lives in Batesville, GA. In addition to owning his own business, he works as a part-time ZipNTime guide. Marty’s favorite part of the job is riding our Thriller Giant Swing. He has nearly 30 years of experience working on challenge courses and aerial parks, and much of his time working with youth on these courses. He is also an avid caver and spends his free time with his kids and grandkids.
Amanda Blackwell , originally from Covington, GA, currently residing in Demorest, GA while attending Piedmont College. When she’s not zipping with guests, she plays on her college tennis team and works as a lifeguard at an aquatic center. Her favorite part of working at ZipNTime is interacting with all the people she meets on her tours. In her free time Amanda enjoys hunting, fishing, kayaking, and pretty much anything outdoors.
Nathan Thompson is from Cumming GA. Although new to ZipNTime, he has worked as a certified zip line guide for more than two years. His favorite part about working here is being able to fly through the trees. Nathan works in graphic design for video games and uses his spare time playing the piano and bass.
Katelyn Scott, although new to ZipNTime, has lived locally in Cleveland, GA her whole life. She helps out in the office when not in school and enjoys all the friendly people that come through. In her free time Katelyn enjoys sculpting clay figurines, writing, and binge watching Netflix. She is also involved in theatre and hapkido sun moo kwan.
Tiffany Murillo is originally from Miami, FL but lives in Demorest, GA. She attends Piedmont College and is in their Nursing Program. Tiffany has been with us for over a year working as a zipline guide. Her favorite part of working at ZipNTime is being able to zipline all day. In her spare time she enjoys playing soccer, eating, and drawing.
Our Troop Transport Drivers
Richard Hammond was born and raised in Avoca, NY, where he attended Corning Community College to study Business Administration. He worked as a construction superintendent for a construction firm and later an operations manager for a large recreational complex for Horseheads, NY. After retirement, he moved to Cleveland, GA with his wife Carlene. They have two children and three grandchildren. At ZipNTime, he can be found driving groups up the mountain and helping with gear. He enjoys having guests guess his age. Richard enjoys camping, riding his Harley, and spending many hours in the wilderness.
Barry Harrison is originally from Indiana and recently moved locally to the Sautee-Nacoochee Valley from Florida. Although he is primarily our troop transport driver, Barry can usually be found working on some sort of project. If you’re really quiet sometimes you might find him napping in his spare time. His favorite part of being at ZipNTime is the ability to be in the great outdoors all day and socialize with our visitors. Outside of work, Barry enjoys wood working and other craftsman projects.
